Newmarket promotes New Orleans in its 300th year

Newmarket Holidays is offering savings on New Orleans tours to celebrate the city’s 300th anniversary.

The operator has partnered with the New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau to promote events around the theme of ‘300 years of stories’ taking place throughout the year.

It is promoting three escorted tours to the city: Elvis Presley’s Memphis, New Orleans & Nashville; Deep South Rhythms, New Orleans & Caribbean Cruise; and Texas, Presley’s Memphis & New Orleans.

A saving of £100 per person is offered on the featured tours if agents use the promotional code JAZZ on bookings made by March 5 for departures this year. Deposits start from £75 and tours from £1,499.

Commercial director David Sharman said New Orleans bookings were expected to rise because of the anniversary.

He added: “Newmarket customers traditionally engage with far flung destinations when there is something even more special to celebrate.”

“Whether that be the Calgary Stampede add-ons on our Canada tours, visits to India during the festival of Diwali, or in this case, a special reason to visit the city of music, fine dining and Mardi Gras during a celebratory year, we see an increase in customer bookings to these areas.”
