Saga pledges to fly customers who don’t like their holidays home

Saga Holidays aims to attract new customers by offering a holiday satisfaction guarantee.

The over-50’s specialist today pledged to fly customers home and refund the cost of the holiday if they don’t like their trip.

The ‘Love it, or your money back’ pledge covers all overseas holidays and river and ocean cruises of seven nights or more, booked by June 30 for consumers who have never travelled with Saga before.

The offer is not available on UK holidays or third-party branded holidays or cruises.

Customers must state their wish to return home to a Saga representative within the first 48 hours of the holiday to take advantage of the guarantee, according to the operator.

The rep will try to resolve any issues within 24 hours and if a solution cannot be agreed, Saga will arrange and cover the costs of return transport to the location where holiday began and provide a refund for the amount paid.

Saga Travel maketing director Dan Whitehouse said: “We are really proud of the holidays we offer and do everything possible to ensure that travelling with Saga meets customers’ expectations.

“We have an 80% repeat rate of customers so to know us really is to love us.

“We’re so confident that new-to-Saga customers will love the Saga experience that we want to give them the chance to try it with this new ‘love it or your money back’ guarantee.”
