Almost 70 new travel consultants of The Travel Franchise have completed a week of training at a resort in Turkey.
Sponsored by Thomas Cook, they gained comprehensive training, advice and support to build on an initial week of residential training.
They also had the opportunity to learn more about a partners in travel scheme, where consultants can sign up local organisations, such as schools, businesses, clubs, associations and charities, offering a percentage of commission on all bookings in return for a recommendation to their network.
The Travel Franchise is the recruitment arm of travel agency, Not Just Travel, with more than 600 franchisees.
Two consultants won a ‘money back’ challenge, which offers every new franchisee the chance to earn their franchise fee back within their first year if they achievable sales targets.
Angela Aryitey, from London, a Pro Travel consultant and Illesh Amlani, from Leicester, a Supreme Travel consultant both earned their franchise fee back in just eight months.
Travel Franchise co-founder Steve Witt said: “This was our twelfth Retreat, and one of our biggest yet with almost 70 of our franchisees joining us in Turkey.
“It was a jam-packed week full of talks, presentations and workshops to provide our franchisees with everything they need to run a successful home-based travel consultancy.
“For many, it is the first time they have had their own business, or even worked in the travel industry, but their energy and enthusiasm to learn is fantastic.
“Our retreats and all our training courses are geared towards helping our franchisees adopt a different mind-set and see themselves as entrepreneurs, in charge of their own destinies; it is exciting to see those light bulb moments when everything clicks.”
